President and Senior Development Consultant
As founder and president of Mighty Penguin Consulting, David brings over thirty-seven years of development and management experience to help clients succeed. He founded Mighty Penguin with a commitment to guide organizations to create sustainable operations and achieve their goals.
With experience in more than fifty fundraising campaigns ranging in scope from $1 million to $1 billion, David has both skills and empathy to motivate other nonprofit leaders to be successful in their fundraising activities which are vital to their communities. His previous work experience in higher education (Utah State University and University of Utah) and local nonprofits also has given him a large and diverse network along with depth of understanding that benefit his clients.
David has been active in his community, serving on many boards, including the Granite District Community Council, Foundation for Change, University of Utah College of Fine Arts, and Leadership Utah. He is an adjunct professor at Westminster College, teaching in the Master of Arts in Community Leadership program. He has conducted workshops and trainings throughout the region. He and wife Mary are parents of six children.
